Happy Christmas

Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, whom Christians believe to be the Son of God. "Christmas" comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). During the service (sometimes called Communion or Eucharist), Christians remember that Jesus died and returned to life. The "Mass of Christ" was the only Mass allowed after sunset (and before sunrise the next day), so it took place at midnight! This is where his Christ-Messe name, short for Christ-Messe, came from. Christmas is celebrated today by people worldwide, Christian or not. It's time for family and friends to come together and remember their good deeds. People, especially children, also love Christmas because Christmas is the time to give and receive gifts.

No one knows Jesus' real birthday! The Bible doesn't give a date, so why celebrate on December 25th? Early Christians must have had many discussions about when to celebrate. Also, Jesus' birth probably took place sometime earlier, in 2 B.C., rather than in the year he was. and 7 BC/BC, probably 1 of 4 BC/BCE!).

Merry Chrismas

The first record that Christmas was celebrated on December 25th was in his 336th year during the reign of Roman Emperor Constantine (he was the first Christian Roman emperor). However, at that time it was not yet an official Roman national festival.

However, there are various traditions and theories as to why Christmas is celebrated on December 25th.

In a very early Christian tradition, the day on which Mary conceived a very special child (called the Annunciation) was March 25th and is still celebrated on March 25th today. 9 months after her from March 25th she is December 25th.

March 25th is also the day some early Christians thought the world was created and the day Jesus died when he came of age, and they believed that Jesus became pregnant on the same day of the year. i thought i was dead. The date was chosen because it was close to the March/Equinox (when the March date and night length are the same).

Jesus died on the 14th day of Nisan according to the Jewish calendar, the Jewish Passover. Because the Jewish calendar is lunar (based on months rather than fixed dates), it moves with Gregorian dates. St. Ephrem of Syria (306-373) taught that Jesus conceived on Nisan 10! Thus March 25th became a "fixed" day in the Gregorian calendar, marking these "moving" days in the Jewish calendar. Did.
